Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay at the festival?
Once you arrive in Eswatini, MTN Bushfire is a 100% Cashless festival. You will use a “NFC wristband” which you load with money (Top-up). You can do this online before the festival or at top-up stations inside the venue.
What is the difference between Camping and Budget Hotel?
Camping: Located on-site or very close. Perfect for those who want the full “Bushfire festival immersion” and to be near the music 24h/7.
Do I need a visa for Eswatini?
Most travelers (including many African, EU, and Commonwealth citizens) do not need a visa for stays up to 30 days. However, please check the latest Eswatini Immigration requirements based on your specific passport. We can assist with guidance!
Is the festival safe?
Yes! MTN Bushfire is known for its family-friendly, inclusive, and peaceful vibe. However, like any large event, we recommend staying aware of your belongings and staying with your group.
What should I pack?
The Malkerns Valley in May has warm, sunny days but very cold nights. Bring light clothes for the day and a heavy jacket/blanket for the evening.
